Hello everyone. I'm Logan, and this is my long overdue intro post! (Okay, I hadn't actually signed up until a few days ago, but that was long overdue in itself...)
A few of you may already know me from elsewhere on the ponynet, but for everyone else: I had no real interest in MLP until early 2012, when friends who'd been watching FiM persuaded me to watch the show -- and things snowballed from there. I don't have any real artistic talent except in writing, but I found I really enjoyed writing FiM fanfic (I still do). I'm a real Fluttershy, but still found the courage to go to BUCK a couple of times.
Then, last year, I became curious about UK PonyCon, and as Leicester wasn't too far away I bought a weekend ticket. Unfortunately illness meant I had to go home on Saturday evening, but I'd had a really nice time up until then, and several things (eg the really interesting talk on the history of MLP toys) piqued my interest in the wider world of MLP. Once I knew it would be in Leicester again this year, there was no question about it, so another weekend ticket has been bought and this time around I intend to do it properly and stay for both days!
My interest in writing has meant that I also tend to collect written things -- I have all the IDW comics and a whole heap of books -- and my actual collection of ponies isn't huge. (A few plushies, the Funko Fluttershy, some blind bags and those figures from the monthly FiM magazine.) It's also almost exclusively G4... but given that I only live about 20 miles from Dudley, I will most definitely be off to see a certain amazing exhibition there this year!
Hmm, I see that I've rambled on far too long already, which is what I tend to do. So I'll just end by saying it's really nice to be here, and then end this post here, um, if that's all right with you.
