Hi there. I'm Monk and me and my currently host a podcast called "Besides the Norm". Within the podcast, we talk about serious topics like religion, politics, health etc... We also talk about comedy and music, but what I find most interesting and the reason I'm here is that we also like to speak to people who have jobs/hobbies or whatever that others could consider weird, bizarre or generically "not normal".
So far, we've only had 1 episode with "bizarre" people, which was a 50+ year old female breakdancer. We have already recorded a podcast with a politician, we have a podcast planned with ghost hunters, a local minister and a dominatrix/disciplinarian. We also want to speak to some bronies.
We've not long since learned about brony culture, but while learning about it, we've noticed a sort of negative opinion of bronies in general and we don't really like that. We want to give a couple of bronies a chance to explain themselves in full with no bias and no judgement.
Unfortunately, we can't offer travel for people and we're based in Fife in Scotland, so we can only really ask for Scottish bronies to be on the show. However if you live further afield but are going to be in Scotland at some point, we'd be more than happy to have you on.
If you're interested please either reply directly in this thread or email us at besidesthenorm@gmail.com
You can listen to the podcast here if you're interested as well. soundcloud.com/besides-the-norm-podcast
Just to let you know, we generally swear in the podcast, but if you plan on children listening to your specific podcast, we can arrange for a no swearing show to take place - that's not an issue.
Thanks in advance. Monk.
