Hello, one and all! I am AlexTFish, and I'm very happy to be here
I suppose I owe my MLP fandom to my two daughters aged 8 and 4! Last summer they added yet another kids' TV series to the dire shows they watch. As good parents, we supervised them watching the first few episodes to check there wasn't any unhelpful messages being taught to our impressionable youth. Quite the reverse: not only did this new series teach good lessons about friendship, but it also had really appealing characters, an interesting world, clever dialogue, and lots of masterful touches both by way of large-scale plot twists and in minor references that go over the kids' heads.
Fast forward a year and we're all firm fans of everything in G4, having seen all the episodes, the movie, and everything on the Equestria Girls side as well. My eldest is learning the guitar (inspired by Rainbow Rocks) and has a reputation at school for sorting out her friends' friendship problems!
My wife and I are grateful to our daughters for introducing us to such a great show, and we're delighted to be bringing the whole family to UK PonyCon this autumn
I'm also a hobby game designer and puzzle maker, and my daughter enjoys making puzzles too. We're hoping to collaborate on a couple of puzzles for the conbook for you all to enjoy!
Welcome to the board Sounds like MLP is a real family affair in your house . It's lovely that you're children have picked up new hobbies from it. I hope you enjoy the convention in October. I'm sure there will be plenty of things there for you all to do
