I need some assitance at gaining information on a pony event that I will move heaven and earth to get my girls (1 x wife, 2 x daughters) to in March.
The event is called My Little Pony Princess Masquerade 2007 and is apprently being held at Disneyland Paris (my spiritual home) - but I can't find anything on either the Dinseyland Paris website or on the UK site form Hasbro.
However I have found the following link on the Australian Hasbro MLP web-site (not only do they stuff us in the cricket - but they get told about pony events before us too).
Thanks Sebby - I've emailed Disneyland Paris so I'll post again if they reply.
I noticed that the competition entry dates concluded on November 30th 2006 so I guess that Hasbro aren't going to run this competition in the UK - a bit strange to run it in Australia and not in the UK (as we can get to Paris easier than from down under).
Looking at different search engines the event doesn't show up - but there is reference to a MLP building-station that has been running at a park in the US and may be extended to other Disney parks in the future. This would be along the same lines as the Mr Potato Head that my youngest had fun at in the summer. Great fun to design and build your own Disney related pony (they'll soon be on Ebay!) Thinking about it this Masquerade could be a launch event for the building stations - there's certainly little else to attract you to France in early-March!!
I'm here piper I'm also trying to move heaven and earth to get there ^_~ However currently the information seems somewhat thin. What I know is that it was first advertised as a MLP Crystal princess parade in australia. There it was run in a competition of some description to win the chance to go. Then it vanished again and is now being advertised at the end of an MLP advert over here in the UK where people under the age of 14 can enter a contest to go. However any other information seems rather absent. I will let everyone know if I do manage to unearth anything though ^_^
Also if anyone would like to accompany me they are more than welcome if I am able to go ^_^
I've just bought my Jessica (6 year old Rarity lover) the latest issue of Sparkleworld (although I keep calling it Sparkleworks (Freudian slip???)) and there is a competion towards the back page to win a family ticket (2 children + 2 adults (one parent or guardian of the under 14 year old child that is entering) to the event on March 3rd at Disneyland Paris.
No purchase is neccesary and the question is to choose from either A : London, B : Paris or C : Milan as the location of the event. As this is being staged at Disneyland Paris I believe that this is Daytime TV competition level - mind you I'm normally at work and firmly believe that daytime TV is a Government plot to ensure that the out-of-work figures go down!!
The address to enter is: -
The Redan Company, (MLP Masquerade Competition), Cannon Court East, Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY2 5DE no later than December 28th 2006 on a postcard.
I can't see anything on the terms and conditions about not entering multiple times, mind you the advert says that more info is available from www.hasbro.co.uk - if it's there the they've forgotten to link to it.
Good luck all you pony lovers - well thjos with children under 14 anyway.
Stand ready for a disappointment, below is the transcript from the reply to my email to the Hasbro press people (Mason Williams): -
From: rebecca [mailto:email@example.com] Sent: 07 December 2006 14:47 To: Peter Littleton Subject: Re: My Little Pony Princess Masquerade
Thanks for your enquiry. Unfortunately you can’t buy tickets to the My Little Pony Masquerade- there are only ten tickets in total for UK fans and these are all being placed as competitions.
Sorry about that- fingers crossed for your little ones.
On the up side I suppose that at least we know - looks like it's luck of draw to win the tickets, I see three options: -
1. I could always offer my children on Ebay to the highest bidder (at least that gets them there) 2 . I can flood the competition with entries, thereby multiplying my chances. 3. I can adopt Sebby and we can split the tickets!!!
