poor nimbus ~ she is not very well
ever since we got our other cat 2 years ago she has had a serious attitude problem LOL
ANYHOO ~ looooooong story short, she has got sores all over her body, poor mite looks like she has leprosy or something so the vet gives her a steriod injection and says she has developed an allergy to something.
2 weeks on and most are getting better, however, some are looking REALLY bad so I took her to the vet again today.
Now she HATES the vet with a passion and goes completely feral if you so much as try and get her in the cat carrier, let alone take her into the vets LOL
She had to endure a full 30 minutes being poked and prodded resulting in:
1 / another steriod injection
2/ an antibiotic injection
3/ a new prescription diet
4/ antibactierial wash on her really SORE sores
5/ an anti-drepressant tablet shoved down the back of her throat using a syringy thingy
yup ~ you heard me right, ANTI DEPRESSANTS! The tablet ingrediants are actually the same as the human tablets! I have been warned that she may get very spaced out, just as a human can, and so I am to alter her dosage accordingly
When I am not thinking about that fact I will have to shove one down her throat every day for the next 2 weeks, it is actually rather bizarre, almost funny you know?
Also, to top it off, I need to apply this wash twice a day!
¬_¬
how I wish I had taken out petplan ~ I have spent £70 on her already in the last 2 weeks, plus both cats have their boosters on monday and nimbus has a follow up appointment in 2 weeks to see how she is getting on with her happy pills.
who would have guessed her attitude was down to depression!
part of me is shouting " but shes a CAT!" but for the most part, if it helps her be a better kitty then I am all for it
LOL
* sobs ~ laughs ~ sobs ~ is befuddled ~ is not looking forward to tomorrow when she has to tackle the tablet + nimbus alone*
