Hello all
This was my first time at the UK Ponycon, as I've only been interested in ponies since March this year. I'd gotten involved in the brony fanbase that swept up the internet, if you told me a year ago I'd be going to a My Little Pony convention I'd have laughed!
But now, I can't imagine a life without my colourful equine pals
As one of the handful of bronies who did turn up (I was the dude with the loooong ponytail and leather coat) I have to admit I had pretty mixed expectations, I thought it would be full of oldschool collectors and our presence would just be awkward. My friend and I had a plan of spending maybe an hour or two browsing and then hitting the bar...
Though I am very glad to say that the convention blew us out of the water! Not only did we stay the full length until after closing time, but we barely managed to buy a Pepsi during the day and had to rush back to catch another event!
This con was FAR more entertaining than I thought it could be, all the great events and the unbelievably welcoming people there made it one of the most fun days out I've had all year! I think I spent over £70 on merch and it was all G4 (much to my surprise!) Even got to see the new Friendship is Magic episode with other fans!
Well anyway, I'm glad I got to meet you all. You will definitely see both myself and my friend at the following years, hope I gave a good representation of the brony community. Share the love of the ponies
PS: Thanks a lot to whoever gave me this balloon at the end of the day, it was a real pain to get in the car! Hahah!

PPS: I know what the sign says, but we broke the rule:
